Since 1889 The Moulin Rouge, world-wide famous thanks to its French Cancan, and immortalized by the painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, has always presented sumptuous shows to its spectators. Today, the Moulin Rouge's new show, "Féerie", continue the tradition. The 60 Doriis Girls, 1000 costums of feathers, shinestones and sequins, the famous French Cancan, the giant aquarium are expecting you in the most famous cabaret in the world. On the 19.02.2003, I was there with Anne-Laure and we admired the beautiful show! I won't forget it... It's not a tourist trap, really not... You will dream... The Bal du Moulin Rouge performs 2 shows every evening, 365 days a year, Dinner at 7 pm (130 to 160 Euros) Show at 9 pm and at 11pm (92 and 82 Euros)

Moulin Rouge (French for "red mill") is a traditional cabaret, built in 1889. Situated in the red-light district of Pigalle on Boulevard de Clichy near Montmartre, it is famous for the large red imitation windmill on its roof. Over the past hundred years, the Moulin Rouge has remained a popular tourist destination, offering musical dance entertainment for adult visitors from around the world. I managed to watch the cabaret show in 2003 and I enjoyed it. We bought a packaged tour that included a boat cruise and a Moulin Rouge show (ticket & 1 small champagne) The cabaret show is loud, fun, lively and vibrant with colors. The dancers were scantily dressed, and sometimes, topless too. However, the tables and chairs were arranged very close to each other, and it was rather cramped.
No Jeans and sneakers. Formal casual outfits required.

Although we didnt go in,just had to go and have a look. We walked from Sacre-Coeur,took about 20 minutes,as we're ambling along you can tell the area is getting more and more grotty. Passing lots of sex-shops and low life hanging round, found the Moulin Rouge, took a pic and left, didnt inspire me to go back, maybe its different when you're in there.... Leave a Comment

If you have seen Vegas caberet shows, well Paris is where they started. The show wasn't bad, but you were really crammed into small tables with too many people and the view may not be the best. I don't regret going, but I don't think I would really recommend it unless you have never seen a caberet type show in Paris, Vegas, Atlantic City, etc.

Two shows a night, and remember to book. The earlier show kicks off about 8 the later one 11. A brilliant live show, with a bit of audience participation thrown in.
Smart / Casual thru to dinner jackets.

Its a fanastic show ... the tickets were pretty expensive ... but it includes a night boat tour to see the city of lights from the water and transportation back to your hotel... the show is in the center of the red light district in paris .. so its surrounded by sex shops and night clubs ... but if your just going to experience the show its wonderful like the rockets with gorgeous customs and boobs showing .. city that finds nothing wrong in sexuality ..

When I see sth about Moulin Rouge I always remind the film. It was very successful for a musical. For me it's a better stuff than Chicago that have received Oscar.. Anyway for an expensive experience of a nite life, I can suggest you to go for Moulin Rouge.. Leave a Comment

You'll have to ask someone else the details, but I thought I'd share some daytime photos of this landmark. The "ladies" are on the wall above the box office. "Moulin" is French for windmill, hence the one on the outside:) Leave a Comment

There's a picture of MOULIN ROUGE - of course, but beware, Blanche, Anvers, Pigalle, there are really dodgy areas, not advisable to walk after 9 pm without male presence between your buddies.. However, here's a list of 'ok' clubs in the area: Locomotiva - 3 floors, mix of house and RNB, too crowded and eventually stinky; Folie - loads of hookers and prostitutes... if u have a limited time to enjoy Paris nightlife, go straight on Champs Elysées in: - Queen - gay club, house music but fancy and relaxed atmosphere (choose Friday night as it's hetero) - Man Ray - on of my favorite clubs, a little bit to posh and snob (Friday recommandable as the other nights is just a bar) - Etoile, obviously pretty close to Etoile - Duplex - Les Planches, a little bit too young for my taste, let's say that the average age was 20 - VIP, if u have the chance to be on 'Le physionomist' standards - Club 79, large range of music styles - Bar Fly, I would say it's rather a bar than a club Other areas & more places: - Budha bar, crowded by tourists, the official language there is English, not a proper place for clubbing but a must for having a drink - Scala, on Rue de Rivoli, 2 floors, house and pop downstairs, RNB and zouk upstairs (14 Euro the entrance) - Cabaret, very close to Palais Royal, posh and nice - Le Hamam, I would quote it ok, close to Place de Clichy - Bario Latino, 3 floors, definately latin music, that's a pitty they are closing around 2pm or 3pm in Saturdays The French night life is amazing, worths ruining your budget, your time and eventually your feet - if u are a party animal:)
For Champs Elysées definately dress to kill code Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubOther Contact: Though, it's tough to get a cab
