After our ceremonies we were given a private tour of the Sacre Couer, Place du Tertre, and private places by Mayor Yatt. It was such a lovely and memorable morning.

Au Soleil de la Butte cafe
Of course you have to go to the Sacre Coeur basilica--it's odd and beautiful. But it's also swarming with tourists. Just steps away there's a very pleasant little cafe that, last time I was there, was amazingly tourist-free, friendly, and relaxed. Really nice owners, great view of the hill, a convivial local crowd, and a magical little chrismas light glowing terrace. Just take the steps east away from the basilica and find it across the street (32 rue miller). Particularly pleasant on the patio on a slow evening. Leave a Comment

If you feel like you would like to have your wedding vows renewed, or have an official Montmartre Baptism, you CAN do this in Paris. The Mayor of Montmartre - Mr Jack Yatt does folklore Marriage Ceremonies and Baptism Ceremonies.
We had our vows renewed and had our daughter Baptised. Instead of water or drinking wine, Imogen was given grapes from the Historical Vineyard of Montmartre to eat - and much to her disgust, the grapes had seeds in them :(
