It was fine weather from the morning. We went to my favorite Montmartre. I love back streets there, from which I can feel the atmosphere of Paris.

Mayor Yatt performed the ceremony (all in French), and an official certificate was handed to us. He had even written a poem in French for Imogen. It was a very special day....

To get there it was two bus ride for about 30 minutes, then a nice walk up the hill. Once you get there you just want to sit and absorb the view from that angle. The church has a huge bell tower and onion shape domes.

Montmartre & Sacré Coeur: Sacred Heart
We accidentally found ourselves below Sacre Coeur on a late-night search for Moulin Rouge. Looming over Montmartre, this gorgeous cathedral draws huge crowds at sunset. Take in the view from the steps, or climb the dome to get a 360-degree panorama of Paris at dusk.

Montmartre & Sacré Coeur: A path we just bumped into.
We saw this path while looking for the Scare Coeur church. As we walked up the steps I could see it headed streight toward the Scare Coeur. It was really fun finding the church like this.

if you want to beat the tourists scene at the cathedral, go early... and i mean really early. i was there between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM. i wanted to watch the sunrise from the steps and it's actually pretty cool to watch. just watching the orange, and yellow colours appear on the cathedral was pretty cool. it was really nice just to wander around and not get mobbed by tourists.

Montmartre & Sacré Coeur: Musee de Montmarte
the museum is just up on the road in the picture. they wont allow you to take pictures of the inside, so i took picture of the outside instead. the museum is pretty cool as there some Talouse Letrec work inside and the famous Chat Noir is also housed here. i cant be positve if they are the originals, but i think they are.
