 | Paris Champs Elysées Reviews | 61 - 70 of 212 | | Probably this is the most popular street in paris, very charming, yet very touristy! I've been there in a christmas time when it was fully lit and lively with colours. Big brands and the french perfume stores are all mainly located over here! Goodness! Once my friend and I were stopped by two tourists whom we thought to be beggars or thieves. They've asked to buy them Channel (or whatever) bag and wallets from the store. The store policy was not to sell two pieces of the same item. Imagine! They gave us 1500 euros!!! They didn't know us or asked for any guarantee! My friend and I could have just run away with this money and travel around France, lol. Got the sense how touristy is this place?? It's full of coffee shops and french crepe makers;) though pricy! We met two french gentlemen, who came up from nowhere, who warned us not to walk late evening around this area and not to show we were 'very' tourists in every possible sense! Lucky enough they even showed us around;) The road will be blocked and become pedestrian in the new year eve. Imagine!!! I just love this place when it's full of lights and it gives you easy access to Arc de Troimphe and everything around in Paris. Leave a Comment Address: Champs Elyeese

The Champs Élysées is the most prestigious avenue in Paris. With all the cinemas, luxury specialty shops, etc... the avenue is one of the most famous streets in the city. Just think that a rent there can be as high as $1.50 million a year for a 1'000 square feet of space. The name "Elysian fields" refers to the place of the blessed in Greek mythology. This avenue is known in France and the most beautiful avenue in the world. The avenue extends for 2 km from Place de la Concorde to the Place Charles de Gaulle where the Tryumphal Arch is. Originally were fields and market gardens, until back in the 1616 when Marie de Medici decided to extend the axis of the garden of the Palais del Tuileries with a big road of trees.

What a wonderful feeling it is to either walk down this 2km stretch of road or even driving down it with the sight seeing bus. I do not think I would like to attempt driving down here by myself, traffic is a bit bad here. The Champs-Elysees was originally laid out in the 1660’s by the landscape gardener Le Notre as a garden sweeping away from the Tuileries, not sure what happened, today it is a mecca for the designer label shops and tourists. Leave a Comment Directions: To get there use the Metro – George-V, Champs-Elysees-Clemenceau or Franklin D Roosevelt

The Champs-Élysées which means the 'Elysian Fields' is the best-known grand boulevard in Paris. On both sides of it are thousands of showrooms, stores and galleries for attracting tourists. This boulevard is always crowded with not only tourists but also the local people

Already very famously known for a shopping promenade.. A good excuse to shop when visiting the nearby monument Arc de Triomphe.. A very popular stunt by fellow tourists would be getting to the centre divider of the road to take a picture with the Arc de Triomphe as the background.. The shops are a little up-market, which is why I prefer going to Boulevard Hausmann where they have malls..

A fascinating avenue, lined with huge buildings and designer shops, this is "the place to be seen" in Paris. It stretches all the way up to Place Charles De Gaulle where the Arc De Triomphe sits. Leave a Comment

Cabarets, high class bars and restaurants. Highly priced Cafees where all people are faced towards the street like a cinema. This is Champs Elysees, the most famous and glamourous street of Paris. You will be amazed by the architecture. Every little detail has been thought of, which is common for all Paris and makes it one of the most beautyful towns I know. Just walking in the streets is an experience. Leave a Comment

Just to walk along the Champs Eylsees was a great feeling but to see all the flowers in full bloom with the sun shining just made it more magical. Leave a Comment

The Champs-Elys'es is a very broad avenue, lined with interesting buildings and shops, and very crowded despite having very large sidewalks. Avenue is 2 km long and 70m wide. Leave a Comment Directions: From the Concorde square to the Arc de Triomphe.
