 | Paris Eiffel Tower Reviews | 11 - 20 of 60 | | Vendors near here sell merchandise at expensive prices. Not too mention there will be people approaching you if you want to buy those little Eiffel Tower key chains or postcard the moment you come under the shade at the base of the tower.. They are very persistent but so should you when you do not want to buy anything from them. And if you're in line for the queue to buy tickets for the tower, be prepared to be repeating yourself as different people will approach you selling stuff, even though he had seen you denying the person before him.. Btw the cheapest Eiffel tower key chains I saw was at 50 Euro cents apiece at a cart vendor that was somewhere between the tower and école Militaire.. Do I hear lower guys???

Save your money and don't buy souvenirs from the Eiffel Tower, they increase the prices of gifts there to extortion.
Buy your gifts (or something for yourself) from shops in the streets or even at the airport - you'll save yourself a lot of money. Leave a Comment

Watch out for the Eiffel tower. Enormous queues all year round. I know you have to go right to the top, but the view is rarely that wonderful. Try the view from the top of the Arc de Triomphe, far better, although steps only. 250 of them. Also from the Basilica do Sacre Couer. Views are not so far reaching, but I think far better. Travel on the metro. By far the best mode of transport. Buy a carnet which comprises 10 tickets for about 15F. Very good value. You can also buy children's carnets which are cheaper. You will need to order in french. The staff rarely speak English on the metro.

I suppose really the Eiffel Tower is a real tourist trap ... but of course as it is Paris you must go to the top once. I even convinced my friend who doesn't like heights to go up. Leave a Comment

Make sure you wait in the right queue for going up the Eiffel tower - we queued for ages then found that we were in the queue for walking up rather than for the lift!! Leave a Comment

dont pay to take the elevators at the eiffel tower, (unless you are disabled) it costs alot and a good time can be had by taking the stairs Leave a Comment

The Eiffel Tower has gotten expensive, but who can go to Paris and not go up the tower! It is a tourist trap that must be done! Leave a Comment

Of course the biggest tourist trap in Paris is one of the most famous spots - the Eiffel Tower. But do go, and get your exercise by taking the stairs (saves money too). The views are excellent. Leave a Comment

Louvre, the Eiffel, Notre Dame.. But one should really see them! You know everyone is going to ask, did you go to the top of Eiffel, and did you see Mona Lisa... My opinion is that the Eiffel is most beautiful seeing from a distance. Leave a Comment
